New in my closet #feelinspendy

Aside from wearing what seems to be mom jeans and loafers all the time, I do occasionally branch out from my go to pair. And recently I’ve totally loved wearing a patterned trouser. I feel like they are the hardest things to pull off and find your perfect fit, they’re either too short too long, come with a belt, are too tight, not tight enough, but trust me its worth finding the perfect pair because once you find them you never want to take them off (it’s like finding the perfect pair of sweatpants or leggings that you proceed to live in). Honestly just pick up a bunch of different styles and patterns and just try them on until you find the perfect pair that works for you and then you can go crazy with the patterns and the outfit creations. They are so diverse you can style them with a t-shirt and look effortlessly cool or throw on a nice silk shirt and look like the ultimate business woman with your shit together.

My go patterned trousers at the moment come from Zara and Marks and Spencer, they are completely different but both so comfortable. The pair from Zara took me ages to get my hands on, they were in stock then they weren’t, then they went through the stage of being in stock but not in the right size, but eventually we got there they came back in stock and I did not hesitate to get my hands on a pair. The navy patchwork is perfect for summer they give such primary school dress vibes or going to a picnic. I mainly style them with a cute crop top or a fitted plain t-shirt.

The pair from M&S are slightly different they look more like a tweed and are a much more neutral in colour, they look a lot more professional and would be a great pair of trouser for work or dressed up on an evening. I again like to style them with plain t-shirts or a nice white blouse the choices with these trousers are endless, you could add an oversize knit jumper, a fitted blazer, they are the perfect trouser to dress up or down.

New to my shoe department is a cute little strappy pair from Asos. When I bought them I was looking for the perfect day heel that I wanted to be able to just throw on and not be in total pain after wearing them all day. They are the perfect height not too much of a kitten heel that makes me look like a girl who got their first pair of heels for the school disco and not full on I’m ready for a night on the town with my girls. They give just that extra bit of height (which I definitely need) and add that extra bit of class to your outfits.  When I first saw them they reminded me of old school Miu Miu that I was obsessed with but with a slight lower heel which completely sold me on them, and luckily it wasn’t one of those Asos moments when it looks good on the model, then gets to you and looks nothing like you expected.

In my opinion you can never have too many different coloured t-shirts and that’s why I’ve recently add two Tommy Hilfiger tees to my collection. They originally drew me in with a classic grey t-shirt with the Simple Tommy logo written on the front which I thought would look great with a pair of my patterned trousers and a pair of (yep you guessed it) a pair of loafers. The second one I found in the last chance to buy section of Urban Outfitters right at the back and I 100% would have missed it if it weren’t for the colour. Tommy Hilfiger have completely changed their style over the past year back to classic 90’s Americana with their basic block colours and their oversized boyfriend sweatshirts, which I’m all for.

The two t-shirts are so easy to style throw on a pair of skinny jeans and black boots and go classic or go for the oversized baggy fit 90’s style levis and add a pair of Stan Smiths. They were an essential need for my wardrobe and I’m not one for adding really bright colours to my wardrobe but I just couldn’t say no to the bright mustard.
