The Summer Edit

I'm not going to lie to you guys I've been really busy this week getting ready for many fun events coming in the future and just life in general, so i did struggle with what I actually wanted to write about.  So I thought why not share some of my inspirations with you because every now and again we all need a little. So this is my summer (mainly holiday) scrapbook style inspiration. (mainly the aesthetic goals that I'm using for my style and life at the moment.
This is most definitely what my Tumblr and Pintrest page looks like but hey why not, so get ready for probably a lot of white lace and denim (i've really been gravitating towards those at the moment).

New in my closet #feelinspendy

Aside from wearing what seems to be mom jeans and loafers all the time, I do occasionally branch out from my go to pair. And recently I’ve totally loved wearing a patterned trouser. I feel like they are the hardest things to pull off and find your perfect fit, they’re either too short too long, come with a belt, are too tight, not tight enough, but trust me its worth finding the perfect pair because once you find them you never want to take them off (it’s like finding the perfect pair of sweatpants or leggings that you proceed to live in). Honestly just pick up a bunch of different styles and patterns and just try them on until you find the perfect pair that works for you and then you can go crazy with the patterns and the outfit creations. They are so diverse you can style them with a t-shirt and look effortlessly cool or throw on a nice silk shirt and look like the ultimate business woman with your shit together.

My go patterned trousers at the moment come from Zara and Marks and Spencer, they are completely different but both so comfortable. The pair from Zara took me ages to get my hands on, they were in stock then they weren’t, then they went through the stage of being in stock but not in the right size, but eventually we got there they came back in stock and I did not hesitate to get my hands on a pair. The navy patchwork is perfect for summer they give such primary school dress vibes or going to a picnic. I mainly style them with a cute crop top or a fitted plain t-shirt.

The pair from M&S are slightly different they look more like a tweed and are a much more neutral in colour, they look a lot more professional and would be a great pair of trouser for work or dressed up on an evening. I again like to style them with plain t-shirts or a nice white blouse the choices with these trousers are endless, you could add an oversize knit jumper, a fitted blazer, they are the perfect trouser to dress up or down.

New to my shoe department is a cute little strappy pair from Asos. When I bought them I was looking for the perfect day heel that I wanted to be able to just throw on and not be in total pain after wearing them all day. They are the perfect height not too much of a kitten heel that makes me look like a girl who got their first pair of heels for the school disco and not full on I’m ready for a night on the town with my girls. They give just that extra bit of height (which I definitely need) and add that extra bit of class to your outfits.  When I first saw them they reminded me of old school Miu Miu that I was obsessed with but with a slight lower heel which completely sold me on them, and luckily it wasn’t one of those Asos moments when it looks good on the model, then gets to you and looks nothing like you expected.

In my opinion you can never have too many different coloured t-shirts and that’s why I’ve recently add two Tommy Hilfiger tees to my collection. They originally drew me in with a classic grey t-shirt with the Simple Tommy logo written on the front which I thought would look great with a pair of my patterned trousers and a pair of (yep you guessed it) a pair of loafers. The second one I found in the last chance to buy section of Urban Outfitters right at the back and I 100% would have missed it if it weren’t for the colour. Tommy Hilfiger have completely changed their style over the past year back to classic 90’s Americana with their basic block colours and their oversized boyfriend sweatshirts, which I’m all for.

The two t-shirts are so easy to style throw on a pair of skinny jeans and black boots and go classic or go for the oversized baggy fit 90’s style levis and add a pair of Stan Smiths. They were an essential need for my wardrobe and I’m not one for adding really bright colours to my wardrobe but I just couldn’t say no to the bright mustard.

That’s what I like

I don’t know if it’s just me but I always love hearing what other people are loving, and that probably makes me really nosey but tbh I really don’t care. It’s so fun and gives you so much inspiration for new outfits and to probably do another cheeky Sephora haul that you know you don’t’ need but they said it was good, so I have to get it.

1. If anyone knows me personally then you already know that my love for novelty lights knows no bounds.  But seriously who doesn’t love themed lights for all the different holiday seasons?? They just add that little extra cute factor to a chill evening or a party. So it’s no surprise that at the moment I’m currently loving my cactus and palm tree lights from urban outfitters. (Hello Cinco de Mayo vibes).

2. I feel like I’ve talked a lot about beauty recently so I’ll keep this one short. But my beauty favourite of the moment is glam glow facemasks not only are they so fun, and yes I’m so referring to the sonic the hedgehog mask (or blue man group training as I refer to it) they leave your skin feeling completely fresh and cleansed *cough so fresh so clean

3. Now lets get to the fun, the reason I know your all actually here for my food favourites and recently I can’t get enough of the Pudology dessert pots, they are dairy free, and gluten free but you can’t tell at all they taste like chocolate pudding they are so filling too. The first time I looked at them I was like umm its pretty small I’ll probably have two but no couldn’t even finish the one. My second food favourite is Torres truffle crisps; I don’t think I really need too justify my love for them; there all you need to satisfy your snack cravings.

4. Now after all those snacks you need something to help you validate eating all the food so that’s where my current love for Ballet Beautiful starts. It’s a ballet-based workout that’s founded by Mary Helen Bowers a professional dancer. It’s the perfect workout to keep on top of your body and yes it looks like a really easy workout because she makes it look so easy but oh my god does it hurt. I did ballet for 15 years and it still hurts me to this day and I’ve been doing it on and off for about 4 years.

5. Now it’s no surprise I love my music, it honestly defines me as a person and I couldn’t live without it. You know if you’re in my car its never silent and the volumes usually up pretty high, I’m honestly surprised I’ve never been pulled over. But my current music loves at the moment are The 1975 old and new music their new single is so good and definitely gives me summer vibes. My second love of the moment is James Bay’s new album Electric light it’s a lot different from his last album but it makes me love it more.
Most loved songs:
1975

\     Give yourself a try
\     Somebody else
\     This must be my dream

Bay
\     Wasted on each other
\     Us
\     Pink Lemonade

6.  ‘I like my money where I can see it – hanging in my closet.’ The words of Carrie Bradshaw. My obsession for Sex and the city started on my trip to New York and it just never ended. It’s a compulsory watch if you’re heading that way anytime soon it’s the perfect outfit inspiration and sightseeing guide to New York. Just do yourself a favour and watch it.

7. Spoiler alert it has Chris Hemsworth (shocker). But seriously no one can say that they don’t love a good Thor movie, especially Ragnarok.  One it’s hilarious and has Jeff Goldbloom in it so you already know its good. Two it’s got a great story line that then links on to the latest Avengers movie. Three it’s got Chris Hemsworth … wait I think I mentioned that already.

Key Parts:

\      “Get Help”
\      “The Melt Stick”
\      “The Birthday song”
\      The Snake Story
\      Korg

8. Last But not least my life goals queen Chiara Ferragni her instagram is just total inspiration.  She has the best outfit posts and has the cutest little family at the same time and she is one instagram that I’m pretty sure I check every time I go on instagram (so like a good 30 times a day).
